Digital Products

Digital products within the “ORCHESTER” project

As part of the “ORCHESTER” project, we are developing innovative digital products to help companies better tackle the challenges of modern materials supply. These products aim to increase efficiency in material development, facilitate decision-making processes, and enhance the resilience of value chains.

MagnetPredictor

The MagnetPredictor is a powerful tool for manufacturers of permanent magnets who want to maximize efficiency and resource conservation in their production processes. The MagnetPredictor includes:

  • precise predictions through data-driven modeling of the relationship between chemical composition and magnetic properties.
  • improved sustainability by allowing users to select alloying elements and examine their influence on magnetic properties, considering recycling and sustainability aspects.
  • an intuitive user interface for easy and effective interaction.

The MagnetPredictor can be trialed for testing purposes.

Fraunhofer technology and expert atlas

The technology and expert atlas provides a comprehensive overview of available technologies and expertise within the project. It enables companies to specifically find the right resources and partners for their unique requirements. The atlas includes:

  • a technology and expert directory to identify professionals and areas of expertise for technical questions and collaborations.
  • an intuitive search function for relevant technologies required for material development and processing.
  • networking opportunities to foster collaboration between companies and research institutions to accelerate innovation processes.

This tool is currently under development.

Material flow and criticality radar

The material flow and criticality radar helps monitoring material flows and identifying critical raw materials. It offers:

  • early warning systems to detect changes in material flows and regulatory requirements.
  • real-time analyses to provide information on the availability of raw materials and their criticality.
  • tools to derive proactive measures for risk mitigation and to strengthen the resilience of supply chains.

This tool is currently under development.

Digital ecosystem as the basis for developing digital products

The digital ecosystem forms the foundation for digital products by enabling the integration and analysis of extensive data along the value chain. The digital ecosystem offers:

  • an interconnected knowledge base to enable informed materials development.
  • a user-friendly vocabulary manager for standardizing data.
  • the derivation of data-driven recommendations for action based on comprehensive analyses of material properties and availabilities.

The digital ecosystem can be accessed at https://orchester.materials-data.space/. Access for testing purposes can be granted upon request.
